About

A quaternary ammonium glucoside conditioning agent that delivers soft, silky feel to skin and hair while reducing static charge.

This ingredient combines a quaternary ammonium cationic centre with a glucose-derived butyl glucoside moiety, creating a mild yet effective conditioning agent. The glucose linkage introduces biodegradability advantages over conventional quaternary compounds. It is used in both skin and hair care formulations as an antistatic and conditioning agent. EU CosIng lists it without restrictions in Annex II or III, and it does not appear on IFRA fragrance allergen lists. It is considered safe for cosmetic use at normal concentrations with a mild sensitisation profile comparable to other glucoside-based surfactants.
