About
Trierucin is a cosmetic ingredient used in product formulations. Its specific function may vary between products. Exercise caution due to limited available safety data.
Trierucin (glyceryl trierucate) is a triglyceride composed of three erucic acid esterified to glycerol. It functions as a skin-conditioning agent and emollient in cosmetic formulations. Erucic acid occurs naturally in plants of the Brassicaceae family and is fully metabolised through the standard fatty acid pathway in humans. No GHS hazard classifications are assigned and it is not restricted under EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009.
