Undecanal (aldehyde C11) — one of the most iconic perfumery aldehydes, with waxy-citrus-floral character. Long safety record at fragrance use levels.
Undecanal (aldehyde C-11, CAS 112-44-7) is a saturated eleven-carbon aldehyde famously used in classical perfumery (notably Chanel No. 5). Naturally present in citrus peel. FEMA GRAS (3092) as flavor; RIFM/IFRA routinely evaluated. Pure material carries mild skin/eye irritation labels but trace cosmetic use is safe. Not on EU Annex II.
