About
Traditional fermented brown rice vinegar — the same ingredient used in Asian cuisines for millennia — rich in organic acids and polyphenols that gently exfoliate and brighten skin.
Brown Rice Vinegar is produced through the sequential fermentation of unpolished (brown) rice by acetic acid bacteria and lactic acid bacteria, typically through a multiple-stage fermentation process. The use of whole brown rice (with the bran layer intact) preserves ferulic acid, gamma-oryzanol, B vitamins, and inositol that are stripped away in polished white rice vinegar. The primary active component is acetic acid, which acts as a gentle keratolytic by disrupting the protein bonds in the stratum corneum. Beyond acetic acid, brown rice vinegar contains alpha-hydroxy acids (lactic, malic, citric), phenolic antioxidants from the bran, and amino acids. The fermentation process also generates bioactive dipeptides and short-chain fatty acids with documented skin-beneficial properties.
