About

Whole lemon fruit powder. Mildly antioxidant and aromatic, but its acidity and fragrance-allergen content ask for thoughtful use.

Citrus limon fruit powder is a spray-dried or milled preparation of the whole lemon. Compared to pure peel powder, the furocoumarin load is diluted by the juice and pulp fractions but is not zero. Useful components include ascorbic acid (vitamin C), citric acid, flavonoids (hesperidin, eriocitrin), and pectin. The fragrance-allergen profile (limonene, citral, linalool) is declarable under EU Annex III if thresholds are exceeded. Leave-on use on sun-exposed skin still warrants caution because of residual furocoumarins in the peel fraction, and the native acidity (lemon juice pH ~2-3) can compromise skin barrier if present at high levels. In rinse-off products or low-inclusion leave-on at buffered pH, lemon fruit powder is generally well-tolerated.
