About
Sea buckthorn seed powder — a carotenoid- and tocopherol-rich exfoliant. Excellent antioxidant profile with a strong food-use safety track record.
Hippophae rhamnoides (sea buckthorn) seed powder is derived from the orange berries and seeds of a hardy shrub native to Europe and Asia. The seed fraction is exceptionally rich in carotenoids (alpha- and beta-carotene, zeaxanthin), tocopherols, tocotrienols and essential fatty acids including the rarer palmitoleic acid. It has a strong track record in both food and cosmetic use. Cosmetic topical use is considered very safe at normal levels. The deep orange colour from carotenoids can transfer to products and packaging.
