About
Grape seed powder — a polyphenol-rich, gentle plant exfoliant. One of the safest botanical scrubs.
Vitis vinifera (grape) seed powder is milled from the seeds left after wine production. It is rich in proanthocyanidins, catechins and a small amount of resveratrol — polyphenols with established antioxidant activity. It is used in cleansers, scrubs and masks as a gentle mechanical exfoliant and antioxidant source. The CIR has reviewed Vitis vinifera ingredients and concluded they are safe as used. No EU restrictions apply, and the material is biodegradable.
