About
A modified hydrolyzed keratin with methylsilanediol groups that conditions and protects hair and skin by forming a substantive film.
This silanized hydrolyzed keratin variant contains methylsilanediol groups that enhance its substantivity to keratin substrates compared to unmodified hydrolyzed proteins. Hydrolyzed keratins are listed in CosIng under Regulation EC 1223/2009 without restrictions in EU Annexes II–VI. The methylsilanediol component is chemically stable and not a significant toxicological concern at use concentrations.
