About
A very high-molecular-weight PEG ester of behenic acid used as a thickener, emulsifier, and opacifying agent in cosmetic formulations. High EO chain results in minimal skin penetration.
PEG-150 Dibehenate is a highly ethoxylated (150 mol EO) diester of behenic (docosanoic) acid, functioning primarily as a viscosity-controlling agent, emulsifier, and opacifier in cosmetic products. Its very high molecular weight and degree of ethoxylation result in negligible skin penetration. No specific restrictions apply under EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. Behenic acid derivatives are considered mild and suitable for sensitive-skin formulations.
