A higher-PEG glyceryl trioleate with 20 EO units — a strong emulsifier and rich emollient for heavy-duty conditioning products.
PEG-20 Glyceryl Trioleate is the polyethylene glycol (20 EO) ester of glyceryl trioleate. With 20 ethylene oxide units, it has significant water solubility while retaining the rich oleic acid-based conditioning from the three oleate chains. It functions as an emulsifying agent and skin-conditioning agent. At this chain length, the same considerations about PEG ethoxylation byproducts apply as with other PEG-20+ esters. The glyceryl trioleate base provides excellent emolliency and skin-nourishing properties. Used in body butters, rich creams, and intensive moisturizers.
