About
A gentle, water-soluble emulsifier — helps oil and water mix in lotions and creams. Derived from glycerin and oleic acid with good skin tolerance.
PEG-20 Glyceryl Oleate is a polyethylene glycol ether of glyceryl oleate with 20 moles of ethylene oxide. It functions as a non-ionic emulsifier and solubiliser in cosmetic formulations, enabling stable oil-in-water emulsions. The CIR Expert Panel reviewed PEG glyceryl esters and found them safe as used, noting minimal skin irritation and sensitisation at typical concentrations. The moderate degree of ethoxylation warrants standard 1,4-dioxane purity testing during manufacturing. It provides a light, non-greasy feel in formulations.
