A medium-high ethoxylated diester of lauric acid functioning as a nonionic emulsifier and solubilizer in cosmetic products. Has a well-established safety profile across product types.
PEG-32 Dilaurate is a polyethylene glycol (32 mol EO) diester of lauric acid serving as a nonionic emulsifier, solubilizer, and skin-conditioning agent in cosmetic formulations. It is not subject to specific EU restrictions under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. The higher degree of ethoxylation relative to low-EO laurates provides improved water solubility and reduces residual 1,4-dioxane content.
Skin benefits
- Stabilizes emulsions in creams and lotions
- Solubilizes fragrance and oils in aqueous systems
Known concerns
