PEG-6 Caprylate/Caprate is a PEG ester derived from medium-chain caprylic (C8) and capric (C10) fatty acids with 6 mol ethylene oxide. Medium-chain fatty acid PEG esters are well-established cosmetic ingredients with a favourable safety profile. EU cosmetics regulation permits their use with standard purity requirements. The ingredient is particularly valued in mild cleansing formulations and is not restricted in EU Annex II or III.
