About
A nonionic surfactant based on oleic acid (plant-derived) used in hair and skin formulations; safe overall with minor concerns about ethoxylation byproducts.
Polyethylene glycol oleamide (9 EO) is a high-molecular-weight nonionic surfactant with excellent water solubility and low irritation potential. The long EO chain minimizes skin penetration risk and reduces concerns about residual monomers. Not restricted under EU cosmetic regulations; widely used in skin care and cleansing products.
Skin benefits
- provides skin smoothing and conditioning
- improves product texture and stability
Known concerns
