About
A lightly esterified polyglycerol (3 glycerol units, 2 oleic acid chains) used as an excellent skin-compatible emulsifier and emollient with a very favourable safety profile.
Polyglyceryl-3 Dioleate (confirmed PubChem CID 71664498) has one of the lowest degrees of esterification in the polyglyceryl oleate series, giving it balanced hydrophilic-lipophilic character. It is permitted without restriction under EU Regulation 1223/2009. Polyglyceryl-3 esters are frequently used in natural and organic cosmetic formulations and are recognised by certifiers such as COSMOS. The short polyglycerol chain and low esterification degree make it one of the safest emulsifying ingredients available.
Skin benefits
- Superior skin compatibility and moisturisation
- Suitable for sensitive-skin, baby-care, and organic formulations
