A quaternary ammonium derivative of collagen that conditions skin and hair with good substantivity.

Propyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Collagen is produced by reacting hydrolyzed collagen with a propyltrimonium group, creating a cationic (positively charged) protein derivative. The positive charge improves substantivity to negatively charged skin and hair surfaces, providing conditioning benefits. It is not listed in EU Annexes II or III. As with all protein hydrolysates, the molecular weight distribution affects safety and efficacy.
