A plant-protein based silicone polymer that conditions and strengthens hair while providing film-forming benefits.
This ingredient is a silanized hydrolyzate of pea protein crosslinked with methylsilanediol groups and polymethylsilsesquioxane, functioning as a skin- and hair-conditioning agent. Pea protein hydrolyzates are plant-derived alternatives to animal keratin and are not restricted in EU regulation EC 1223/2009. They provide amino acids similar to those in hair and skin, supporting conditioning claims.
