About
Isostearamidopropyl Epoxypropyl Dimonium Chloride is a cosmetic ingredient used in product formulations. Exercise caution due to limited available safety data.
Isostearamidopropyl epoxypropyl dimonium chloride is a dual-function quaternary ammonium compound with an epoxypropyl reactive group. The epoxy (glycidyl) moiety is a recognized skin sensitizer and can react with skin proteins to form complete allergens. This class of compounds is listed in EU Annex III of Regulation EC 1223/2009 with concentration restrictions. The combination of epoxy and quaternary ammonium functionalities makes it a higher-concern ingredient for skin sensitization.
