About
A hydrogenated tallow amine with moderate ethoxylation. Functional surfactant with the class nitrosamine and dioxane caveats.
PEG-15 hydrogenated tallow amine is a saturated polyethoxylated fatty amine from tallow with 15 EO units. Hydrogenation reduces unsaturation and improves oxidative stability. It functions as cationic surfactant, emulsifier, and antistatic. CIR has reviewed the PEG-alkyl amine family as safe for rinse-off with raw-material purity controls. The amine functional group remains a nitrosamine-formation substrate. PEG process leads to potential 1,4-dioxane residuals. Score in mid Moderate/orange band.
