CETETH-16 is a cetyl alcohol ethoxylate with approximately 16 moles of ethylene oxide. The high EO degree confers excellent water compatibility and very low irritation potential. The ingredient is widely regarded as safe by safety assessment bodies, with the CIR Expert Panel confirming safety for use in cosmetics at typical concentrations.
