Trideceth-6 Phosphate is a cosmetic ingredient used in product formulations. Exercise caution due to limited available safety data.
Trideceth-6 Phosphate is the phosphate ester of Trideceth-6 (tridecyl alcohol ethoxylated with approximately 6 moles of ethylene oxide). The higher EO content relative to Trideceth-3 Phosphate increases water solubility and reduces the ingredient's lipophilicity, broadening its application range. EU cosmetic regulation (EC 1223/2009) does not list this ingredient in any restriction annex. As with other phosphate esters, it offers a milder alternative to sulfate-based surfactants while maintaining effective emulsification.
Skin benefits
- Mild cleansing and emulsifying properties
- Good foaming profile in syndet bar and liquid cleanser formulations
Known concerns
- Potential mild eye irritation
- Possible skin drying in leave-on formulations at high concentrations
