About
A fusion recombinant peptide combining botulinum-source sequences with hexapeptide-40, raising significant safety concerns due to neurotoxic protein heritage.
A single-chain recombinant fusion peptide combining r-Clostridium Botulinum Polypeptide-1 and Hexapeptide-40 with a methionine initiation codon, produced in E. coli. Clostridium botulinum is the source of botulinum neurotoxin, one of the most potent biological toxins known. While this recombinant version is a peptide fragment, the botulinum-derived component introduces serious neurotoxicity concerns. Under EU Regulation EC 1223/2009, such neuroactive ingredients require extreme caution and are effectively restricted in cosmetic products.
