About
Catechu seed powder — antioxidant-rich Ayurvedic botanical. Astringent; best in rinse-off.
Acacia catechu (khair) seed powder is milled from the legume seeds of a tree traditionally used in Ayurveda for skin and oral care. It is rich in catechins, epicatechins and tannins, giving strong antioxidant and astringent activity. There is no dedicated CIR monograph; supplier data is the main source of safety information. Tannins can be drying on prolonged contact, so it is better suited to rinse-off or short-contact masks than to leave-on products. No EU restrictions apply.
