A high-degree ethoxylated glyceryl triester of isostearic acid used as a nonionic emulsifier in cosmetic formulations. The long PEG chain minimizes absorption and supports safe use in leave-on products.
PEG-40 Glyceryl Triisostearate is a highly ethoxylated (40 mol EO) glyceryl triester of branched isostearic acid functioning as a nonionic emulsifier and skin-conditioning agent in cosmetic products. The high degree of ethoxylation reduces the potential for 1,4-dioxane contamination and limits systemic absorption through the skin. No specific EU restrictions apply under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009; the branched isostearate chains provide oxidation stability.
Skin benefits
- Stabilizes emulsions in creams and serums
