About
A recombinant human Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor (bFGF/FGF-2) analogue expressed in transgenic cows, supporting antioxidant and skin-conditioning functions.
This recombinant protein replicates the 288-amino-acid sequence of human Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor, expressed in Bos taurus. bFGF is a heparin-binding growth factor involved in angiogenesis, wound healing, and fibroblast proliferation. As with other growth factor ingredients, appropriate concentration and purity controls are essential. The Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 does not list FGF-family proteins in its restriction annexes, though the SCCS has highlighted concerns about growth-factor potency in topically applied products.
